Learning kindness and compassion begins at a very young age. Ken, a nine-year-old boy, is helping rescue stray dogs that live in his area.
He hopes to open his own shelter so animals will know what it’s like to feel safe and loved.
Ken and his father built a temporary shelter that Ken named “The Happy Animals Club” where they can eat in the shade.
Since he built the shelter, the pups have put on weight, and their fur has grown back in. They are definitely happy for Ken’s help Ken will put them up for adoption soon so that they can find loving homes of their own.
We should all take a page from Ken’s notebook and learn to give more of ourselves to the homeless animals that live in our areas.
